Locate the red smart button on the back of the garage door opener. If you have a light cover on the back of the door opener you will need to pop it down. Once you have located your red smart button push it in then let off. Now hold your remote button down until your light bulbs flash on and off or you hear a clicking noise. Now try your 971LM remote and your garage door should activate.
